'Go Your Own Way' was written by Lindsey Buckingham. It has a very complex, driving rhythm structure. For the drum part in the song, Lindsey Buckingham said he was influenced by the Rolling Stones' 'Street Fighting Man.' He wrote the song on a vacation the group was taking in Florida.
